What a contractor quote-request page should ask.

Collect enough context to decide the next step, without turning a first inquiry into paperwork.

Begin with the service and territory

A bathroom remodel and a minor repair need different next steps. Ask what the customer wants and where the project is. A postal code or service area may be enough before you request a full address.

Give uncertainty a place

Budget and timing questions should allow “not sure.” A customer who needs advice should not have to invent a number to submit. Explain which details are required and why.

A request is not a booking

After a real server write, confirm receipt and the next step. Do not display an appointment date until it is accepted by the responsible team. If delivery is uncertain, show a clear retry or contact path.

Decide who checks it

Assign a lead owner and a backup before running ads. Check a test submission in the real inbox or CRM. Record response, qualification and estimate outcomes separately; form totals alone cannot measure booked work.

Start with the fit.

Service. Territory. Budget. Capacity.
